Charles Bradley & The Menahan Street Band pull out some mean funk from under the couch in this cover of Nirvana’s Stay Away. According to the interwebs this song was done for a free SPIN Magazine compilation of Nevermind covers [called Newermind]. The interwebs even describe the track as a “heavy mean proto-psychedelic garage soul number”. We don’t know what that means but if it resulted in the goodness that is this track it must be a good thing.
