The Boxer - Mumford & Sons.

Look, I love Simon & Garfunkel as much as anyone born more than a decade after their best work was produced. And although I love a good cover, I tend to prefer original versions of songs, on principle. But whilst S&G’s The Boxer failed to ever make a huge impression on me, I have the Mumford & Sons version on continuous repeat at the moment. Songs like Scarborough Fair and Bridge Over Troubled Water were written for Art Garfunkel’s choirboy voice, but Marcus Mumford’s voice breathes life into The Boxer that I don’t think was present before.
